Why?
Broccoli contains vitamins C and K, fiber, and potassium. The florets are safe but contain isothiocyanates which cause gastric irritation in large amounts.
How much can dogs have?
Should be less than 10% of daily food intake. A few small florets as a treat.
What to watch out for
In large amounts the isothiocyanates can cause severe gastric upset. The stalks can be a choking hazard. Always cut into small pieces.
