Why?
Cooked eggs are a fantastic source of protein, riboflavin, and selenium. They are highly digestible and many dogs find them delicious. Some vets recommend egg as a food supplement.
How much can dogs have?
One egg several times per week for medium to large dogs. Less for small breeds.
What to watch out for
Always fully cooked โ scrambled or hard boiled, no seasoning. Raw eggs carry salmonella risk and contain avidin which blocks biotin absorption over time.
