Why?
The exact toxic compound in grapes and raisins is still unknown, which makes them especially dangerous. Even a small amount can cause sudden kidney failure in dogs. There is no "safe" amount.
How much can dogs have?
NONE. Never feed grapes or raisins in any form — fresh, dried, cooked, or in other foods.
What to watch out for
Symptoms include vomiting, diarrhea, lethargy, loss of appetite, abdominal pain, decreased urination, and kidney failure. Can be fatal within 72 hours. This is a veterinary emergency.
